The uMkhonto weSizwe Party opened a case of treason against AfriForum in Cape Town following AfriForum's solicitation of United States President Donald Trump's help against the implementation of land expropriation laws.

AfriForum's Chief Executive Officer, Kallie Kriel, has dismissed the charges as baseless.

"AfriForum will not be having any sleepless nights regarding these complaints as they are baseless. Just as baseless as the false allegations that were made against AfriForum this past week. This is a concerted effort to take the blame away from those responsible and those that have acted against the interests of the people in this country," Kriel said.
