Police Spokesperson, Mahlomola Kareli says the arrest follows a complaint lodged by a clinical psychologist at a school in the town Dewetsdorp in February, where an allegation was made that the suspect exploited two boys, aged 15 and 16, by luring them with false promises of gifts in exchange for sexually explicit videos and images.

Kareli says preliminary investigations have identified other potential victims aged between 14 and 16.

“The suspect faces multiple charges including sexual exploitation, grooming, and facilitating the creation of child pornography. After the case was referred to authorities, Constable Mosiuoa Ntholeng was appointed to investigate. He traced and arrested the suspect in Brackenfell on May 26. The accused appeared briefly in court, where the matter was postponed to June 29. During the arrest, electronic devices were seized,” Kareli said.
