The offer, however, excludes Namaqua National Park.
The official launch of SA National Parks’ Week is expected on Sunday at the Limpopo’s Marakele National Park.
During the week, the public can access any national park without paying a conservation charge, although accommodation rates remain the same.
SANParks is also the custodians of cultural heritage sites within the parks, many of which hold religious significance for local communities.
The locations include the Garden Route, known for its early hominid fossils in coastal areas, and San Rock Art.
Visitors can also explore the Golden Gate Highlands, Karoo and Kruger National Park to discover evidence of prehistoric life, such as dinosaur fossils.
Visitors can participate in guided tours, educational programs, and various leisure activities such as hiking, photography, and bird viewing.
