Highlighting South Africa's unique diplomatic position, Dr. Pandor stated that South Africa holds the capacity to facilitate communication between the two nations.

She expressed optimism following a productive meeting in Kyiv and stressed the necessity of involving Russian officials directly in peace talks to discuss existing proposals and introduce their own.

The ANC's manifesto, which prioritises peace and stability, underscores the importance of South Africa's role in international relations and its potential to contribute to resolving the ongoing conflict in Eastern Europe.
