SA Judicial Conduct Tribunal probing sexual harassment against prominent Judge

The South African (SA) Judicial Conduct Tribunal probing sexual harassment allegations against Eastern Cape Province, Judge President Selby Mbenenge resumes on Monday with a new witness.

The witness is expected to be an official at the Office of the Chief Justice, Neil Naidoo.

Naidoo is expected to give testimony relating to Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) footage that will be handed in as evidence before the Tribunal. 

The CCTV footage will also give meaning to the photographs of the Mthatha High Court that has frequently been placed before witnesses from the Eastern Cape Division of the High Court last week. 

Andiswa Mengo, Judges' Secretary alleges that she was sexually harassed by Mbenenge. 

She says this happened in-person interaction and electronic communication between June 2021 and November 2022.
