The first Cabinet Lekgotla of the Government of National Unity gets under way at the Sefako Makgatho Presidential Guesthouse in Pretoria on Saturday.
The two-day meeting brings together ministers and their deputies, premiers, directors-general and representatives from the South African Local Government Association (SALGA).
For the first time since 1994, the executive comprises representatives from 11 political parties. Ramaphosa spoke to SABC News about the readiness of the Lekgotla.
“The GNU is up and alive and working. We are working very hard and people are contributing everyone is talking. So it’s great it’s a good start to the GNU.”
