The sixth Zambian President passed away earlier this month while receiving specialised medical treatment in SA.
Lungu’s remains were supposed to leave SA today for burial in his home country, however, a disagreement between his family and government, has once again delayed the repatriation of the mortal remains. It remains unclear whether the two parties will find each other by next Monday when the late statesman was initially expected to be buried in Lusaka. A period of mourning has been extended until next weeks.
