The postponement was made to allow for the state’s presentation of further evidence.
Mduduzi Mnisi made a brief appearance in the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court, in the city of Johannesburg on Tuesday. He is accused of the premeditated murder of Likhona Fose after the girl’s mutilate body was discovered near her home in the town of Roodepoort last month. Mnisi remains in custody.
The accused, who is still on parole for his previous convictions of robbery and an attempted murder in 2009, pleaded not guilty to the charges against him. He further mentioned that the only amount that he can afford for bail is $56, as he is unemployed. His girlfriend, Pinki Gantso, is expected to give evidence as a witness when the case resumes.
