The King says it is with the assistance of other countries and individuals globally that the Mountain Kingdom is celebrating its bicentennial and the 58th Independence Day yesterday  

King Letsie says he’s proud about the achievements of Lesotho. He has also commended politicians in Lesotho for their work in ensuring the delivery of services to the people.

In his message during the celebrations in Maseru, King Letsie has advised those in power in other countries to match good laws with knowledge and intelligence.

“Some of you have walked with us this journey of nationhood for over a century. While others have joined the journey since our independence in 1966. We are deeply indebted to you for the friendship and cooperation you have extended to us over these years. Some of those years were difficult and turbulent”.
