Former Sudan Prime Minster calls on SA to assist in dialogue to end Sudanese conflict

Date: Jun 24, 2025

The former Prime Minster of Sudan, Adalla Hamdok has called on South Africa (SA) to assist the people of Sudan to engage in a dialogue with the aim of ending the war in that country

Hamdok says not much has been done to return that to democracy. He believes that SA's involvement will prove beneficial for both nations.

“We would like for SA to get involved, more actively in our case. His Excellency, SA President Cyril Ramaphosa has assured us that Pretoria will definitely be involved in the Sudanese conflict, and in helping us address this. There is a lot of history between our countries. SA has an excellent, unique experience, that can be extremely useful to us,” Hamdok said.
