Zikalala’s remarks come after SA investigative journalism organisation, AmaBhungane, reported that he and IDT Board Chairperson, Kwazi Mshengu, allegedly played key roles in halting a National Treasury probe into the controversial lease.
Zikalala says he plans to report the report to the Office of SA’s Public Protector.
"My request to the Public Protector is to in investigate my conduct. Whether I have acted or committed any misconduct ad this media house is alleging. And I believe it is for this media house to go to the Public Protector because within 24 hours I would have submitted and say: Sihle Zikalala conducted a misconduct here and here,” Zikalala said.
