The development emerges as the SA Presidency confirmed overnight that President Cyril Ramaphosa would travel to Washington next week, to meet with President Donald Trump in the US capital of Washington.
The move would be just the latest decision to undermine SA's hosting of the G20, after the US Secretary of State and Treasury Secretary boycotted Ministerial meetings earlier this year, following Trump's Executive Order on so-called egregious actions in the African country.
Trump has continued levelling accusations of an alleged white genocide against the SA, just as 49 Afrikaner self-proclaimed refugees arrived in the US this week. Trump has suggested that he would not attend the conference, unless the situation was taken care of. Pretoria was hoping next week's White House meeting would serve as a reset in the strategic relationship.
