This after anti-government protest flared up again in Mozambique.
The association’s Chairperson Oupa Pilane says the advisory is in anticipation of increased travel due to the festive season.
He says those planning to travel should ensure that the get accurate and up to date information.
“The main entrance border gate that is a challenge is the Komati Poort- Lebombo border, and you have got other border gates in and around Swaziland, and the ones from Richards Bay in KwaZulu Natal and those border gates are fairly quiet and there’s nothing happening there. These protests also, when you go in other areas of Mozambique, they are not happening in areas like Vilankulo, Ponta do Ouro- they remain unaffected. We are saying therefore that these areas can be visited, and it is equally important that the tourists should really keep in touch with their service providers on the ground, so that they can know exactly where to go,” says Pilane.
