This is according to Parliament after the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure revealed that it will build a temporary structure within the precinct of the institution to accommodate Members of Parliament.

It said this will be a temporary accommodation over the next two years until the reconstruction of Parliament is completed.

Head of Communications in Parliament, Moloto Mothapo says there are no changes on the official venue of the event next year.

“The plans regarding the hosting of the nation address for 2025, has not changed as we have previously communicated to the public. The State of the Nation Address in February will be hosted at the Cape Town City Hall and that remains.”
