Ramaphosa was reflecting in his weekly newsletter following the celebration of 30 years since the establishment of the Constitutional Court, a key facet of the multiparty negotiations that preceded the democratic transitio. Canny Maphanga reports.
Ramaphosa noted that nation should be proud of the court's history which includes its first case in 1995, on the constitutionality of the death penalty, which sets the tone for a humanistic jurisprudence grounded in human dignity that endures to this day.
