This brings the number of illegal miners who died to 88.

Nine bodies were brought to the surface by community members while the rest were retrieved by Mine Rescue Serviced during a three-day operation that started last week Monday.

A Spokesperson for the department of health in the province, Tshegofatso Mothibedi, says the miner was admitted with gastroenteritis and dehydration.

Thirty-two illegal miners are still recovering in hospital.
