Improved processing at Beitbridge border post pleases truck drivers

Date: Apr 19, 2025

Some cargo truck drivers heading to Zimbabwe and Malawi have expressed satisfaction with the processing of travellers at the Beitbridge border post in Musina, Limpopo province.

They say unlike in previous years, there were no long queues and the documentation process has significantly improved.

One of the drivers, Matthew Nyamthanga, who is en route to Malawi, says he is impressed with the efficiency at the port of entry.

“I started the journey yesterday around 10 in the evening and reached here around 5AM. I had to wait for the papers, but the documents are now out, and I’m proceeding. So far, the situation is very fast, and the way they’re doing the paperwork is impressive.”
