The delays come as DNA test results for the children who burnt beyond recognition in last month’s fire, are yet to be released.
The agonising wait for the results has left the parents reeling in pain.
Police have since opened an inquest docket however could not confirm how long the tests would take. The fathers of two of the deceased children, Israel Ncube and Isaac Pondaponda, say all they want is to give their last respects to their daughters.
“Once we bury the kids, that would be better because this thing still pains us and our families are still asking about this and we don't know what to say for now since the babies are still there by the mortuary," said Ncube.
His heartbreak is shared by Pondaponda.
"We are asking government and the forensic people to speed up the process that everybody can be released from the stress we in now,” he said.
