Voters who will not be able to cast their ballots on May 29 can now register to vote on May 27 or 28 until May 3.
The Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) says the special vote period has been expanded to two days, compared to one day during previous elections.
According to the IEC, voters who will be unable to visit their polling stations on May 29th due to physical disability or pregnancy can register for officials to visit their homes on May 27 and 28.
Additionally, voters who cannot be in the vicinity of their registered polling station on polling day due to work, can also register to cast a special vote.
Voters can register to cast their special vote on the IEC's website or at their nearest IEC office.
