Ahead of the conclave to elect a new Pope, a civil group, End Clergy Abuse (ECA) has issued an open letter to the cardinals requesting for the summit to choose someone with a zero-tolerance policy against sexual abuse. 

ECA is a worldwide organisation of human rights' activists and rape survivors from over 21 countries and five continents.

The organisation focuses on children's and victims' rights to compel the church to end clerical abuse.
