The organisation’s Spokesperson, Ali Sablay says their teams are currently responding to various calls for assistance across the province due to the weather. Sablay says their first urgent appeals were received after almost one-thousand residents were left displaced in the towns of Lwandle and Nomzamo.

He says appeals have since poured in from several areas, including the towns of the Khayelitsha, Gugulethu, Philippi, Mitchells Plain and Nyanga. Sablay says relief efforts will also continue across the Cape Metro.
