SA, Botswana Presidents to visit bus accident site that claimed lives of Botswana nationals

South Africa's President, Cyril Ramaphosa, together with his Botswana counterpart, President Mokgweetsi Masisi, will this Thursday visit the bus accident site that claimed the lives of 45 Botswana nationals.

The horrific crash occurred along the R518 road in the Limpopo province as the pilgrims were travelling from Botswana to the St Engenas Zion Christian Church in Moria for the Easter conference.

There was one survivor, an eight-year-old girl who has since returned to Botswana.

According to the health officials in Limpopo, they are still identifying the burnt remains of those who died in the accident.

About eight bodies have been identified after a painstaking process.

Ramaphosa and Masisi will kick off the day in Mokopane this Thursday, where they will get a briefing in Mokopane before heading to the accident site.

The South African President has also conveyed his condolences to the government of Botswana following the tragic accident.
