The county’s National Prosecuting Authority (NSA) Spokesperson, Eric Ntabazalila says the man entered a plea and sentencing agreement with the state.
Ntabazalila says during the raid last year, officers also seized illegal firearms. The man was also found to be keeping animals that were ill-treated and without the necessary permits.
“The Bluedowns Regional Court has ordered his name to be entered into the National Register of Sex Offenders and declared him unfit to possess a firearm after he pleaded guilty to illegally downloading and distributing hundreds of images and videos of child pornography. He was also found guilty of two counts of illegal possession of a firearm, two counts of illegal possession of ammunition, two counts of cruelty to animals and restricted activity involving threatened or protected species without a permit,” Ntabazalila said.
