Authorities were alerted to the incident where the suspects had allegedly just committed an armed robbery the store. Police spotted the suspects' alleged vehicle and gave chase. Gauteng Community Safety Department Spokesperson, Ofentse Morwane says police recovered a number of items.
“The officers managed to recover unlicensed firearms and stolen stock of cellphones. The vehicle used in the commission of crime was booked at the police impound for safeguarding. We commend our law enforcement agencies for continuing to track suspects, ensuring that we deal with lawlessness and criminality," Morwane said.
