Inquest into deaths of SA anti-apartheid activists continues in Eastern Cape province

The Inquest looking into the deaths of the South African (SA) anti-apartheid activists known as the Cradock Four, is expected to resume on Wednesday with a visit the site where the torched vehicle and bodies of the four were discovered

The inquest is sitting in the sitting High Court in the city of Gqeberha, in the Eastern Cape Province. The bodies of Matthew Goniwe, Fort Calata, Sparrow Mkhonto and Sicelo Mhlauli were found in the town of Blue Water Bay after they were allegedly killed by apartheid security branch in 1985.

On Tuesday the Inquest legal team conducted onsite inspections in Nxuba, which included the local police station, the Goniwe family home, as well as the Olifantskop Pass, where the four anti-apartheid activists were abducted.
