He says that the opposition parties, who have rejected the results as rigged, may challenge them in court.
The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission declared that Emmerson Mnangagwa has won a second term as the President of Zimbabwe, with 52.6% of the votes.
Sithole says that the credibility of the electoral commission is in question, and that the Southern African Development Community (SADC) has also raised some concerns about the conduct of the elections.
"It is highly predictable that there could be violence in the country, because of the issues of credibility in terms of ZEC and now you have SADC more or less identifying some of the issues that the opposition have alluded to before and of course one of the options for the opposition is to take it to court," he said.
