SA's EFF delegates to elect top six leaders at National People's Assembly

Date: Dec 14, 2024

This afternoon, over two thousand members of South Africa's Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) will elect the top six leaders at the party's third National People's Assembly, held at the Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg.

Secretary General Marshall Dlamini has confirmed that 90% of voting delegates are in attendance.

"As things stand now, we are sitting at 2026 delegates, which is 90%. And by the way, you can check it out. All other conferences for you to get 90%. Tenants of delegation. It's a show of a strong, solid, organised organisation. The normal you get is 65%. If you did well, it's 70%. You can go and check in with the other parties. So for us to get 90%, we're very proud of that. It shows that there's clear organisation coming from branches, the regions they knew where these delegates were, and the provinces they went to account for and fetch all these delegates to make sure that all of them are here. And their presence. So we're very happy just with that attendance and this shows that our delegates, our structures, their commitment, they are committed to this survival and the life and the growth of this organisation," Dlamini said.
