Following a cabinet meeting, Ntshavheni reported that the situation is under control, with 24 confirmed cases, including three fatalities.
Ntshavheni emphasised the importance of maintaining basic hygiene standards as a key measure in preventing further spread of the virus.
The cabinet has acknowledged the 19 recoveries and two individuals currently in home isolation, with case distribution including 12 in Gauteng, 11 in KwaZulu-Natal, and one in the Western Cape.
The government continues to urge the public to support their efforts by remaining vigilant and adhering to non-pharmaceutical interventions, such as enhanced personal hygiene practices.
This collective action is deemed crucial in curtailing the transmission of Mpox and safeguarding public health.
