The talks, facilitated by the Pan Africanist Congress (PAC), focused on matters of national interest and identifying common challenges that require collaborative solutions.
The meeting, which took place on Tuesday evening, was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen dialogue between political and social stakeholders in SA. The PAC, which has engaged with both sides in the past, played a crucial role in bringing the parties together.
Speaking about the engagement, PAC Secretary General Apa Pooe emphasised the significance of open discussions in finding SA solutions to shared challenges.
"The respective parties held a robust and frank discussion on various issues of national interest. The dialogue was a clear indication that, as South Africans, we have a collective responsibility to address the challenges our nation faces," Pooe stated.
He went on to highlight the commitment among all participants to work towards solutions in the interest of unity and diversity.
"For us, as the PAC, it was more like a 1994 reset party," he added, drawing parallels to SA’s transition to democracy.
