Despite the persistence of discord regarding voting machines and the reliability of the electoral register, all stakeholders remain committed to the electoral process in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The stance is from the United Nations (UN) Secretary General's Special Representative to the country and head of the UN Peacekeeping Mission during a briefing to the UN Security Council in New York.
Leila Zerrougui also warned of the potential for armed groups to interference in the elections, specifically in areas throughout the East of the country.
