Zimbabwean President, Emmerson Mnangagwa, has announced fuel price hikes that have left citizens shocked.
In a press conference on Saturday, Mnangagwa announced a 300% increase, with petrol now costing $3.31 and diesel now going for $3.11.
As a result, protests have erupted in the Zimbabwean capital, Harare. Mnangagwa says the increases are aimed at addressing a shortfall caused by increased gasoline demands and rampant illegal trade.
