Tshanduko 'Chandu' Ligege's broadcasting journey began in 2011 at the University of Limpopo as a  volunteer presenter and music compiler at a campus based community radio station, Radio Turf.

After obtaining his BA in  Communication Studies at the same institution, he represented Limpopo on Mzansi Magic's Clash Of The Choirs Season 2 in the year 2014, under the mentorship of Malaika's Tshedi Mholo. After the show, he worked with Tshedi a back up singer while also volunteering as a sports and news anchor for Rainbow FM until.

His commercial radio break came in 2017 when he joined Capricorn FM as a news anchor where he spent 2 years before heading to Cape Town to study music ensemble performance at the Cape Music Institute. The 2 years he spent in Cape Town re-ignited his passion for music and broadened his knowledge and understanding of the music business.

In 2019, he released a dance single with Equilibrium Frequency which still receives airplay in some radio stations. His TV break came in 2022 at the age of 31 when he joined the Tshivenda news desk on SABC 2 as a news presenter.

He is part of SABC's Channel Africa's 2024 line up as a host of 2 music shows - "Africa In Song" and "Midnight Snack". He is also a stand-in news anchor at the same radio station.
