Aurélie Kalenga
Aurélie Kalenga is a skilled communicator who is passionate about using innovative storytelling to spotlight pertinent issues facing the African continent.
She has been a journalist for over 10 years and is the host of the morning show on Channel Africa - the international radio service of the South African Broadcasting Corporation - keeping listeners up to date with current affairs and developing news stories in the world, from an African perspective.
She is also the Communications Manager at the African Climate Reality Project, which is one of the world’s leading organisations dedicated to mobilising action around climate change. Aurélie is committed to creating solutions to combat food insecurity and reinforce the importance of climate education and literacy in Africa.
This led her to founding NGO – Grace Beyond Borders, which is concerned with ending hunger, achieving food security and promoting sustainable agriculture among African migrants in South Africa.
Aurélie holds a Masters degree in Journalism and Media Studies from the University of Witwatersrand.
