The SA Revenue Service (SARS) has identified a portion of provisional and non-provisional taxpayers for auto-assessment.

The move is targeted at taxpayers who have one or more sources of income from formal and other forms of employment and whose tax affairs are not complicated.

SARS Commissioner Edward Kieswetter says he hopes by July 20, they would have issued over five million auto assessment messages.
