This is SA President Cyril Ramaphosa’s message to the nation contained in his weekly letter today.

Ramaphosa is attending the Africa Chief Executive Officer Forum in the Ivorian capital, Abidjan, where SA will showcase its potential as a premier investment and trade destination.

Ramaphosa says the upheavals in the global economy present an opportunity for a strategic, Africa-focused trade and investment policy.

Ramaphosa says that SA must actively explore new market opportunities.

This he says must take place even as the processes of harmonising regulations continues within the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

Ramaphosa says SA business must be at the forefront of the transformation of African industry and also make the case for African firms to invest in SA’s mining, agriculture, manufacturing, financial and professional services, Information Technology sectors.
