The disgruntled communities are demanding jobs for locals. They are also against any access or use of the millions of rands held in the trust until current leadership disputes are resolved, and for the Glencore-Rhovan mine management to revisit its social labour plan to expedite development in the affected communities. Community member, Andrew Mpshe says they will intensify their action if their demands are ignored,
"We are concerned in terms of the management power is running our affairs, its also now taking out the communities out of bounce in terms of interaction. They are also now dividing the community in terms of anything possible in management, in shareholding in employment or any matter that it concerns the land owners."
