SA Parliament concerned about state of Road Accident Fund

Date: Jun 2, 2025

South Africa’s (SA) Parliament's Standing Committee on Public Accounts (SCOPA) has raised concerns about the critical state of the Road Accident Fund (RAF).

This including the board's explanations on why the state-owned entity's Chief Executive Officer Collins Letsoalo was placed on special leave.

This as the Special Investigating Unit continues its investigations into alleged tender irregularities, duplicate claims and payments made to attorneys and claimants.

SCOPA Chairperson Songezo Zibi says the RAF is finally being held accountable.
