Speaking at the inauguration of Tourism Month in Galeshewe, Kimberley, De Lille emphasised the importance of job creation and economic growth through tourism.
De Lille highlighted the untapped potential of the country's townships and villages, which she believes hold numerous hidden attractions that could draw visitors from around the globe.

"South Africa's (SA) identity extends beyond safaris and Table Mountain," De Lille stated.
"Our townships and villages are brimming with undiscovered treasures. It's imperative that we work diligently to identify these gems and ensure they remain prominent on the world map."
This initiative is part of a broader strategy to diversify the nation's tourism offerings and stimulate local economies.
