Convened by business and hosted by Standard Bank’s Business and Commercial Banking division, the gathering has brought together some of the continent’s most influential business leaders, investors, entrepreneurs and policymakers.
The event, which concludes on Friday, has quickly established itself as a premier forum for continental dialogue, aims to spark new ideas and partnerships around trade, innovation and investment. It features representatives from over 15 African countries, including Ghana, Kenya and SA.
Group Head of Agribusiness at Standard Bank, Louis van Ravesteyn, says the goal is to harness Africa’s immense potential through collaboration.
“Getting business leaders across the continent together from about 15, 16 countries, it is about 120 of our top business customers coming here in Cape Town, from as far as Ghana and Kenya all the way to SA. It is all about how businesses shape Africa’s tomorrow. It is about this big opportunity of the African continent, how we can do trade together, how we work more together, and how we capture this big opportunity,” Van Ravesteyn explained.
