This is where the fate of the Africa Growth and Opportunity Act hangs in the balance.
However, some analysts say the US policy toward Africa won't differ radically regardless of who wins.
Professor of African Politics at the University of South Africa, Kealeboga Maphunye says, "African nee to also be very interested in this election because we have got AGOA. You know that African Growth and Opportunity Act, which the US has signed with a number of African countries, and so you would like to find out the kind of administration that takes over. Is it going to cancel that AGOA or is it going to continue with it."
