Namibia central bank keeps repo rate at 6.75%

Namibia's central bank left its main interest rate unchanged at 6.75% on Wednesday, saying the decision aimed to safeguard the peg between the domestic currency and the South African rand while supporting economic activity.

The repo rate has been at 6.75% since February 2025.

Namibia's annual inflation edged down to 3.5% in May from 3.6% April.
