The summit, titled: "People you can invest in", aims to showcase investment opportunities across sectors including mining, infrastructure development and agriculture amongst others.
Elifasi Mashaba, Zimbabwe’s ruling Zanu PF Secretary for Business Development, highlighted that his participation at this event and his role as a speaker, despite being a politician, should come as no surprise. He argues that politics and business are inherently intertwined, elaborating on his viewpoint.
“It is not often that politicians come in to address business summits, but that is what we are. We are here to address the fact that we can’t separate business and politics. They are inseparable. That is because political decisions and policies can significantly impact operations.
“Conversely, business interests can influence political decisions,” said Mashaba.
Mashaba encouraged individuals to consider investing in Zimbabwe, emphasising that such investments are tantamount to investing in the nation's future.
