United States (US) Treasury Secretary, Scott Bessent says US President Donald Trump does not believe that the European Union's (EU) trade offers to Washington are of sufficient quality
He says he hopes that a June 150% tariff threat will "light a fire under the EU" in negotiations with the North American country.
Bessent said many other top US trading partners are negotiating in good faith with the exception of the EU.
