SA's Border Management Authority (BMA) has advised travellers to use the Mananga Border Post in Eswatini as an alternative route.
The protests, which erupted earlier this week, have led to significant disruptions at the Lebombo border post, a critical point for cargo and passenger movements.
Demonstrators, angered by the election results, have blocked routes and targeted key infrastructure, including power plants. This has caused a backlog of trucks and travellers, with some cargo transporters facing delays of up to three hours.
