Godongwana is set to deliver the policy statement in Cape Town on Wednesday.

Doctor Rivalani Hlungwani, an expert in the field, emphasises the need for the government to devise creative strategies to tackle poverty and unemployment in SA.

"When we look at the employment rate and infrastructure development, these are serious challenges. Additionally, the power utility Eskom is failing to produce enough energy for different sectors and the public. Some roads are in poor condition, and there is also a lack of sufficient water infrastructure to provide solutions for the people in the country," Hlungwani stated.
