Six suspects have been arrested in connection with a 2018 procurement fraud and theft at South Africa's (SA) Kusile Power Station in the Mpumalanga province.

They were apprehended at the port of entry on Friday, March 14, as they attempted to leave the country. In the early hours of this morning, four additional suspects were arrested, including a former procurement manager and an end user. During the operation, police seized a handgun, a rifle, ammunition, a laptop, and mobile phones. The suspects will appear in court at the eMalahleni Magistrate’s Court on Monday, March 17 2025.”
