The kingdom is holding a summit with African leaders in Riyadh to discuss ways to enhance cooperation and investment.
The summit comes after Saudi Arabia became a member of the BRICS group of emerging economies, which includes South Africa.
Saudi Arabia has also been playing a constructive role in supporting peace and stability in countries like Sudan.
