The company reported a profit of $154 million attributable to shareholders for the January-March period, with total consolidated revenue falling by 2% compared to the same period last year.
Despite the domestic setback, Maroc Telecom’s customer base grew by 3.6%, reaching 80 million. The company is increasing investments in broadband infrastructure and mobile payment services, particularly in its African subsidiaries, to bolster its performance outside Morocco.
In addition to its home market, Maroc Telecom operates in several African countries, including Benin, Burkina Faso, the Central African Republic, and Togo.
