This development follows the union's outright rejection of the government's proposed 3% salary increase during this week's discussions.
Standing firm on their demand for a 12% raise, the PSA expressed dissatisfaction with the government's stance, which they feel fails to address other critical issues such as housing and medical benefits.
PSA Spokesperson Reuben Maleka conveyed the union's disappointment, stating, "The employer's offer of a mere 3% increase has been declined. The trade unions remain steadfast at a 12% increase. We are unable to make any progress when the employer remains unyielding on other significant demands. Therefore, the sole response regarding the cost of living adjustment of 3% is insufficient and has been rejected."
