This initiative aims to provide much-needed funding to SMMEs, enabling them to thrive and contribute to the country's economic growth.

Under this programme, SMMEs will receive funding through loans that are entirely interest-free. This innovative funding model is based on purchase orders.

As explained by Sanlam's Chief Transformation Officer, Ray-Ann Sedres, “The funding is unique because it is based on a purchase order. When the SMME gets the loan funding, Sanlam doesn't actually pay the SMME, we pay the supplier of the SMME. Once the SMME delivers the goods to SANParks, they then pay the loan first before paying the supplier their profits at the end of the day.”
